Sure Start Children’s Centre Buckingham
Buckingham Children’s Centre opened on Thursday 3rd April 2008. This centre situated on the Grenville Combined School site, will offer support services for all children under 5 and their families.
Buckingham’s new Children’s Centre joins a growing network providing a wide range of services and activities for children and their families. These include play activities to help children’s development and learning, health information and support for parents and childminders.
By 2010, the government aims to establish a children’s centre in every community, offering access to integrated early years activities, child care and family services.
Marion Clayton, Cabinet member for Achievement and Learning said: “This is an exciting new facility for children and their parents in and around Buckingham. I hope that parents will take the opportunity to see what is available to them, and will make good use of the services being provided from the new children’s centre.
