Year 6's visit to Manor Adventure Educational Activity Centre (15 - 19 June 2009)

 

Latest news...

They arrived safely on Monday afternoon and started their activities straight away.  Nearly everyone was asleep by 9 p.m.

 

Tuesday, 16 June

Everyone enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast. This morning's activities included compass work and a low ropes obstacle course.  After lunch we built and sailed rafts.

 

Wednesday, 17 June

Visited the caves and dinosaur park today.  Everyone had a great time, despite the rain! Watched a DVD and had hot chocolate treats.

 

Thursday, 18 June

Still having a great time.  Today's activities included obstacle course, zip wire, team games, canoeing and kayaking. Great fun.


 

Manor Adventure,  Shropshire

 

Years 4 & 5's visit to Manor Adventure Educational Activity Centre  (23 to 27 March 2009)

 

34 pupils from Years 4 & 5 spent the week at Manor Adventure in Shropshire.

 

Monday, 23 March

They left school at lunchtime and arrived safely on Monday afternoon.  Everyone was very excited and the good news was that it had actually stopped raining.

 

Tuesday, 24 March

Mrs Brown phoned to let us know that everyone was fine.  They had a lovely breakfast and a great lunch.  Today's activities included archery, fencing and the zip wire. 

 

Wednesday, 25 March

Excursion day.  The morning was spent at the Enginuity Museum, the interactive design and technology centre in Ironbridge, where the children had fun experimenting and learning about energy, X-rays, materials and structures and product design, amongst many things.  In the afternoon, they visited Blists Hill, the Victorian town, learning how candles were made, and looking around a Victorian grocers, bakery, sweetshop and chemist, with its curious remedies.

 

Thursday, 26 March

Had a fantastic day.  Today's activities included climbing and completing obstacle courses, which was great fun, although a little muddy.

 

Friday, 27 March

Once the packing was out of the way, there were more activities lined up, including BMX riding.  It's been a great week, but all good things must come to an end!

Arrival time back at school approx 4 p.m.
